– medium-sized passerine, size of Common Starling
– diurnal migrant
– migrates in medium to huge, dense flocks, sometimes mixed with Common Starling

>> FLIGHT >>>>>

– colourful and spectacular up close and on the ground
– however, from a distance, it is not as easily noticed in groups of Common Starling as one might expect
– flight pattern very similar to Common Starling, but in direct comparison noticeably longer tailed, thus different silhouette (more thrush-like)
